To modify the media GUID in NetBackup for an imported tape, run the following command:

"C:\Program Files\Veritas\Volmgr\bin\vmchange.exe" -g <new GUID> -m <tape label>

This will change the GUID of the media in the NetBackup media database, once complete you will be able to perform operations with this media.
